A day trip to Verona from Lago d’Idro is a great idea, because Verona is a beautiful city with a rich history and cultural heritage. The city of Romeo and Juliet is about 90 kilometres south-east of Lake Idro and the drive takes about 1.5-2 hours, but if you prefer public transport, you can take a train from Brescia or Desenzano to Verona.
